One Damaged Blade

History of Swords.?
I am perplexed..as to why the the south american indegious groups !Perfered or had no idea that you can make steel or even copper swords like the western world had...but either perfered the Obsidian blades ..or where oblivious to metalurgy as to making swords from ore,s..i dont think they didnt have the knowledge to understand metalurgical concepts..as they worked with gold and silver..so why OBISIDIAN swords? The only thing i can think off is that obisidian cut's qiet deep when you diliver the blow the right way enough to do mortal damage..another concept behind the obisidian sword is that they where easy to shape with a razor;s edge and also they where such that they literally slid in to the dug out cavity of the sword when one blade was damaged each could be replaced with a new blade. i can imagine they would even carry with them extra blades in war.But personally i think obsidian was plentyifull and was also a every day tool ...not just a killing implement...what do you think?
You are probably right in that obsidian was fairly plentiful. However, their wars were more guerilla fighting style than head on conflicts like in Europe. They used the terrain and missile weapons more effectively.
Although the bow and arrow existed in the middle East, it didn't become real deadly until the development of the English longbow. In Europe they developed shields against the lesser bows and stood out in the open. In South America, they used trees.
In short, there were fewer pitched battles in South America and less of a demand for bladed weapons that lasted.

Damaged Lives (DVD) $9.12 Young Donny (Lyman Williams) is a rising executive who makes the mistake of cheating on his fiancée (Diane Sinclair) with an attractive blonde (Charlotte Miriam). Some time later Donny gets a call from the blonde with some very personal, very bad news (she has VD, and probably so does he). She kills herself. Donny has a hard time coming to terms with the horrible facts, especially since his wife is pregnant and probably also infected. A doctor (Jason Robards, Sr.) tries to get Don to accept his condition by taking him on a "shock-filled" tour of a disease ward. He passes out. His wife hallucinates when she hears the news. With time, perhaps they can rebuild their lives...Filmed in 1933, this cautionary tale was not released in America until 1937, at which time it was a big hit. As one of he first pictures by fledgling director Edgar G. Ulmer (DETOUR, THE BLACK CAT) it`s far from the hysterical camp that aficionados of roadshow fare like REEFER MADNESS might hope for. Aside from a few florid touches, It`s a nicely photographed, sensitively handled look at this "unspeakable" malady (syphilis) and its effects on a series of people who contract it. Ulmer loosely adapted the story from the 1913 stage play DAMAGED GOODS by Eugene Brieux. |

Flying a Draganflyer X6 Helicopter with Only 5 Rotor Blades!
Nerve damage from chicken pox, should i go to the doctors about it?
when i was 12 i had chicken pox/shingles and i have one scar on my back/shoulder-blade
the area around it (like 5cm in radius) is numb and kind of aches. Sometimes i get a shooting pain there are it hurts but only lasts like 1 second. i think the painful area is getting bigger but i'm not sure. should i go to the doctors about it? is there anything you can tell me about this?
i have had it for 4 years by the way
you really should have dealt with this when the scar was fresh and new. the sooner to treat something the better the outcome. go to the doctor and see what can be done about and hopefully its treatable.
