can bad coil(s) show or cause high egt on a 2 stroke?

this problem is on a 582 rotax. i've checked: fuel mixture, carbs, no false air, water temp is 190, plugs are light brown... egt is at 1300!
1300Farenheit. I've confirmed this high reading by using another gauge and also another probe. i had a hot seize.

bad spark plug lead. and/or bad plug
