Schools Take Off
When did Halloween become a federal holiday that kids take off school for?
In the last 5 yrs where I live, kids from elementary school to high school get this day off. It's announced on the readerboards as you drive by. And it's not just one school district doing this. It's several in the area. We never got that day off when I was a kid.
Oh - that is crazy! A day off for Halloween.... my gosh.
They might get that day off, but the kids will make up that day by being in school one day longer in summer.
But still, I know what your saying, and it's rediculious anymore what kids are getting off school for.

illegal for a school official to take student off school grounds?
Is it illegal for a school official to take a student off school grounds in their personal vehicle without the parents permission?
I don't think so. I believe only the police can do that.

Had to take off cuz my daughter has a cold. These schools don't b bullshiting, tried 2 take her this morning and they said hell naw!! Smh
