ok im trying to decide between two very well known sunglasses brands. oakley and costa. ive owned 2 pairs of oakleys and they were very well made and reduced alot of the glare of the outside sports i do. but i hear costa's are better made and well worth the money they say the have better lenses and stronger frames. but i dont know which lens would be more impact resistant the oakleys for the costa's

Consider this, if Costa's had better lenses and stronger frames, why are they NOT ALLOWED to be worn in uniform by the US military? The reason Oakley is one of the maybe 3 brands allowed by the IS military to be worn as part of the uniform (both Combat and non combat) is being of the strength of the lenses and frames.

Oakley is also known for optical clarity. It's one of the reasons why Oakley is one of the best performance eyewear on the market today.

Costa are nice and I know a LOT of guys who fish swear by them. Some of these guys also wear Oakleys. best thing to do is to go to a Sunglass hut and try both on and see how your eyes feel.

Having worn both, I would PREFER Oakley. The combination of clarity and strength are just unmatched by other manufacturers.
