What is the take-off distance of an ultralight on floats?
I'm trying to find the ultralight with the shortest take-off distance while on floats. Can anyone help find one?

what does it takes for an ultralight?
i live in alaska and love to hunt and sight see so im thinking of buying a ultralight that has floats and wheels and has two seat. whats it take to fly one and are they really as fun as they look and what kinda wight can they carry? i know i cant shoot a moose and fly the hole thing out on one trip
An ultralight would be a nice plane in Alaska, and they do not require a license. Of course, common sense would tell you that training at least would be a good idea. Ultralights must have an empty weight under a limit (I forget what it is but with floats you get a little bit more slack on the weight limit.) Some can carry a fair enough amount of weight to hold a couple of suitcases and two passengers. Gas may not get you to far on some either. One thing ultralights are criticized on is safety. That varies on what you get, but a lot of them are extremely safe and easy to fly. And yes, they are very fun to fly! Good luck and I hope you do get one!
