Voice Powered Headset

360 Wireless Headset Question?
OK so I play Halo 3 at my friends house and he has two wireless headsets. His works fine, connects to his controller, and emitts his voice and other peoples voices. However, his other one, it connects to my controller, and you can even hear sound when I turn the volume up and down. And yes I did press power to unmute it. However, people can't hear me and I can't hear them. In multiplayer, his voice icon shows up on screen, but mine is just an O with a line through it. But the headset is unmuted, any ideas? Thanks
I know in the second halo you could only have one headset per console on so im guessing its like that on the third one also

Gaming Headset For Adjustable Game Audio And Voice Chat For PS3 $85.51 On the battlefield, often the key to victory isn?t firepower but communication. Any seasoned first person shooter player knows all too well that the usual path to defeat is not being able to hear what other players are saying, as well as having to shout for teammates to hear you. Which is especially frustrating when you disturb the household as a result. This becomes even more bothersome when wearing uncomfortable headsets for longer periods of gameplay. CTA Digital?s Gaming Headset is designed to address these factors, and provide a comfort that can last through even the longest of challenges. The Gaming Headset connects to a monitor with standard RCA stereo jacks (red and white) and directly to the PS3?s USB port via separate cables, thus allowing users to manipulate the volume of in-game audio and chatter independently with the remote. Not only does this allow for a finely tuned and completely customized audio experience, but the audio quality itself is rich with the dynamic base that all serious gamers crave. You can finely hear subtle details that will give you the competitive edge, or simply enjoy extended play sessions thanks to the carefully designed comfortable padding. This headset is ideal for casual and pro gamers alike.Features include:Connects to both the display and PS3 to allow for separate and independently controllable audioExtra long cable gives you plenty of room (12.5ft)Removable microphoneComfortable padded ear cupsSpecifications:Compatible with PS3 for game audio and chatCompatible with any display that utilizes RCA cables (red and white) for stereo audioWired remote with control wheel for game audio and chatPackage includes:(1) USB powered headset with removable microphone(1) USB extension cord |

Logitech G35 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headphones
Why doesn't XBox live team chat on Halo 3 work unless I push the D-pad repeatedly?
I know my mike works. I know my headset works. When I'm in a game Lobby, I can talk and it's voice-activated.
But when I'm in a game, I have to repeatedly push the D-pad to talk. I hear a little squawk, and if I don't hold it down, I hear another squawk that sounds like a power-down. After that point, no one can hear me unless I hit it again.
Even on the pop-up little advice windows, it says that all you have to do is hit your D-pad ONCE to talk to your team. Why do I have to keep hitting it over and over again?
Once the game reaches past a certain amount of people (around 10+) it will require that you push up on the D-Pad to talk to anyone in the game. Once you click the D-Pad you can talk for as long as you want, but once you stop talking or a continuous sound is made, it will automatically stop it to stop the 'spam' noise.
