Aircraft Airplane Seat

i have a torn meniscus in my r. knee and cannot bend my leg 45 degrees or walk. Should I fly on an airplane?

i need to fly 1.5 hours to reach a doctor for surgery. only way to get there is fly. i have a knee brace to keep my leg straight, but the airline leg rest only goes up 38 degrees and the room between my seat and the seat in front of mine is 20 inches.

Can/Should I fly on this aircraft? If so are there any precautions/advice you can alert me to?

afree is right, you should ask your doctor. However, check with the airline. Most planes have some seats in front of bulkheads where you can keep your leg extended.
