What kind of weapons does India plan to use in INS vikramaditya - the aircraft carrier ?

INS Vikramaditya is actually the rechristened Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov. When it enters service with the IN, it will have a wide array of weaponry on board. Its main punch will come from the air arm. Contrary to the previous answer, they are not going to use VTOL/VSTOL aircraft (like the IN's current Harriers). In all likelihood, the IN will acquire a squadron of Russian MiG 29 MKs (Naval Variant). Since these are regular supersonic combat aircraft, INS Vikramaditya is being fitted with a ski ramp and a catapult system to aid in their take off. Landing arrestor gear will help the aircraft get back on the flight deck safely.
In addition to the air arm, the carrier will also carry the regular complement of torpedoes, missiles (Israeli Barak and the Indo-Russian Brahmos), AA guns and other stuff we don't know of as yet.
Trust me though, it will add quite a bit of punch to a Navy that's already there amongst the best.
