Why do south american tribes have similar hairstyles?
I've seen this a "bowl cut" style of on many pictures of south american tribes, and history books mention that past tribes from the region also had the same hairstyle. However, nothing I've read explains if its religious, practical, or if there other styles aside from the "bowl cut".

I'm a specialist in a different area, but a lot of times these traditions are "diffused", or adopted/forced upon/passed down from one culture to another. That is often the reason for similiarities in attributes that could otherwise vary extensively throughout different cultures.
For example, sometimes families will branch off and move away, but still keep the same styles as the main family. It may be, as someone said here, for practical reasons, or it may visually associate them with the main tribe or an admired tribe (much the way your last name identifies you as part of a larger family branch).
In Mexico, Aztec women had special hairstyles for women who were married - - kind of like our wedding ring today - - to let other men know that they were off limits. Hairstyles even today can reflect (to some extent) social status, job type (think Armend Forces) or just plain trend (the cuts of the stars, like the old Farrah Fawcett or Dorothy Hammel looks).

Hi guys, im 14 years old from the Philippines and we will have a practical test in our Music subject wherein you will have to sing a song originated from other countries/places. Mine was the Latin-American music. Can someone suggest a song that is easy to memorize since i just got a little time to do so.
My first option was the "Toro Mata" but we were also required to submit an english translation of the chosen song and i cant find one on Toro Mata. thanks guys!

Well put! Though I’m not sure this country has anything resembling the American grit of yore or the American practicality we once had. We’re soft people now, terribly self-centered, not particularly well informed, and short sighted to boot. Our Congress reflects that and responds to most crises with bills that have a planning horizon of less than five years. Obama is the one president who actually seems intent on passing laws that aren’t particularly popular but, like bitter medicine, will see us back to health. Most Americans seem far more interested in the latest new cell phone or game show than in spending time on learning about something so ponderous as energy and climate change. But Friedman is right: tying an energy bill to the economy (not the environment–something we don’t really need anyway
