Amp Very
i have 2, 12 inch cvr kickers with a 1200 watt amp and when i play my music up very loud my amp turns off?
yeah its in my car and when i play a song with load bass it also turns off
The first guy knows what happened. The second guy doesnt know what he is talking about. The 3rd guy doesnt know the difference between series and parallel wiring. The 4th guy is right but didnt tell you how to fix it. The first half of the 5th guys answer is a POSSIBILITY, but the second half of his answer is REDICULOUS. I hate it when people give wrong information.
9 times out of 10 this is because you have your subs wired in parallel and are presenting a 2 ohm load to your amp. If you wire the subs in SERIES you will make an 8 ohm load and be ok but wont get to the maximum potential of the amp. Just google "series wiring" for a picture. If your amp has 2 channels then hooking up 1 sub to each channel will give you the maximum power in your case.

I want a very basic sound system in my car, what subwoofers and amp should i buy?
I want a basic sound system in my car, I got about 200 bucks to spend on subwoofers, amplifier, and amplifier wiring kit. I'm going to get a ported enclosure box. I just want decent bass, nothing insane. What do you think I should get with a $200 budget, preferably subs that will work with the amp lol.
Hit up a Best Buy and get one of their packages that they already have put together- they are nice quality stuff, I would recommend Rockford Fosgate P1 or P2 10" or 12".
The packages usually come with 2 subs, box, amp- all you would need to buy is the wiring kit- go to walmart for that since the package wont need very much power

I also got my first electric after about a year of playing on an acoustic. If you get an effect pedal it will be alot funner to play.
