can you use digital camera on board a plane?

someone told me they were stopped from using a digital camera to take pics on an international flight, but i dont know if this is true. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

There are new rules and regulations since 9/11. The best advise is to ask when you board the plane. I have been on some that say yes and others say no. Just ask to be sure. My experience has been if you ask, they usually say yes.

which is the best flight to travel from Chennai to Chicago?

Im Ok if its multiple cities,,,,Im confused to choose between London(BA), Frankfurt(Luftansa), United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta and continental. Which of these is the best in terms of sophistication ? ie. Seat spaces....
also one more..can we carry digital camera in our hand ?

Lufthansa!

American carriers such as American and United are all crap. British Airways is ok, but Lufthansa has great service.

Delta is ok, but can't compare to Lufthansa.
