this is a pretty hard question to answer, so im going to recommend buying a db reader, or going to a local car stereo shop, and playing a frequency sweep cd. You can either buy one, or find an mp3 sweep file online. Record the output of the subs over the sweep, and you'll have an answer. T

is this too big?
It will work, but that's an over-rated amp. It has a pair of 30A fuses so you can't realistically expect more than 600 or 700w out of it.
It's plenty of power for your p3 to perform well - I just don't want you to think you're going to get the advertised 1200w out of it.
I also noticed the retail sites listing a 1300w rating for the sub, but I deferred to the rating on power acoustik's site of 1000.
