Is the Ametek 115334 the best option for replacement vacuum motor on a Steamex Carpet Extractor?
I have a Steamex carpet extractor I obtained from an auction. I don't know the model, but it is old looking and red in color. After I bought it, I found out the motor was wrecked. It had the equivalent of an Ametek 115334 vacuum motor in it. My main concern is, after reading about the Ametek 115334, it doesn't appear to work well when moisture is involved. Has anybody out there run into this, and if so, do you have any suggestions for the type of motor I should be using in this machine? If possible, I'd like to upgrade the power for better wet pick up. Thanks for the help in advance.
