Pietenpol Aircraft

Experimental Aircraft landing equipment, wheels structural integrity.?

I am currently building a pietenpol aircraft. I am working on the landing gear and I am trying to improve the structural integrity of the wheels used to land, for fear of coming in sideways or landing to hard and them giving away. I am using 18 inch rims off a heavy dirt bike, and I am going to fabricate a hub in the center to change the angle of the spokes and increase their strength. My question is what angle should I have these spokes in order to do so, how long of spokes should I use, and how wide show this hub be.

There is not enough information to answer your question. We need to know what is the weight of the aircraft, and how fast in general will the aircraft be when landing, etc. Typically the spokes should be positioned such that they point outwards radially straight, and not at any angles.
