Fishing Rod Building: Installing Reel Seats & Foregrips
I have an old fishing rod and need help identifying the make?
The rod itself is a dark red brown the guides are bound with white and blue the writing is in green and all I can make out is maybe revelation or revolution definitely an R and L in the word
there is also a small symbol with a w in it. I t also has a removable reel seat if anyone has any idea please help Thanks in advance
I am not sure about this so take it with a grain of salt.
I seem to recall about 25 of 30 years ago fishing fods by the name of Revelation. I think that this was the model and not the brand name. At that time I was interested in West Bend, Shakespere, and Airex Spinster. If your rod is newer than that then I'm way off base. Sorry I can't help more. Good luck.
Don't put that z-Axis away wet. You don't seem like the kind of guy that would, but it doesn't take much! I put my z-Axis back in the tube damp once and the reel seat swelled up and I couldn't get the reel on it — I found out AFTER a 2,000 drop and two mile hike into the river. I had to put it on the fireplace for a day to get it back in shape. Never had that happen on another rod. Then again, I usually buy shitty rods with synthetic reel seats.
