dose anyone know where i can get financial help in the purchase of a light sport aircraft.?

My name is John Atkinson. I am currently a qualified pilot with over 100 hours. I have a dream of having an aviation career. But as a senior in high school, I do not have the financial recourses to continue flying. I do not want to just give up. I wondered if there is a company or someone out there, who would be interested in financially helping me with a sponsorship in the purchase of a light sport aircraft. In addition, as a way to increase my training, I am in the process of receiving as much training as possible. But with my own aircraft it would be alot cheaper for me. My goal is to start my own flight school after I get out of collage.

I appreciate your vision. You have not indicated your location. I would advise you to continue as a pilot for about 4 years and you weill be able to find a sponserer for your project then.

The Politics of Strategic Aircraft Modernization

The Politics of Strategic Aircraft Modernization

This study examines three major bomber aircraft acquisition programs: the B36, the B52, and the B2. The central question for each of these programs is whether they were chosen to fit national strategic objectives or to meet the more narrow political and economic needs of the socalled militaryindustrial complex. The book concludes that U.S. Air Force senior leadership acquired better bombers than did civilian defense leaders. The extensive use of original documents in this book reveals that Air Force generals were less concerned about defending their own interests than previous research has implied. Virginia Tech ME Morphing Aircraft Senior Design Team 2008

Ideal college for Ideal job?

"Ideally" I would like to be able to join a military service, and become a commissioned officer and fly rotary wing aircraft. I'm currently in my summer of my senior year

Background-Out of the services, I would prefer to join the Marines or the Coast Guard (My father is being promoted to Lt. Col next year, he's a marine, and it would definitely please him and myself if I could fly for the core). Being a marine brat, I don't really want to join the Army or Navy.

I am an A/B student, all of my core classes are AP classes and my strong points are in Science and Math. I play soccer outside of school, and I have also been a Marching Band member all 4 years of high school. So is it possible to be accepted into the CG/Naval Academy? Or should I go to a civilian college such as Virginia Tech, and participate in an ROTC program and then go to OCS/etc, after graduation?

What would you do in my situation?

Trust me you definitely want to go to college first and join the ROTC program. That will give you a little taste of the military life and if you don't like it you always have the option of changing that.

Now if you join the military, your locked in until your term expires. There is no way out unless, you do something wrong, get hurt, or something even worse than that.

Bottomline, is when you join the military, you can still go to school, but it's going to be limited, depending on your mission. You don't want to regret not going straight to college and at least taking the opportunity, to see if this is something you really want. It's your decision, so do what you think is BEST for you, not your Dad or anyone else. Look in your heart, Seriously!
