Ultralight Licence Requirement

if your an ultralight pilot please answer!?

I'm 14 and I want to buy a kit for an adventura II, but theres a few things I need to know...

1. Where and How do I get my ultralight license (2 seats)?
2. Whats the cheapest way to get a license?
3. What should I study?
4. what are the requirements (age, weight)???

The last time I checked there was no license requirements for an ultralight class aircraft. You can build one and take off.... Once!

HOWEVER, I'm reasonably sure that that particular aircraft requires a Private Pilot Certification... Due to the seaplane type configuration I suspect.

I would suggest that you hold off on buying an aircraft for a while and learn to fly FIRST! Get your Private Pilot Cert...

The cost of getting your Private depends on several things. How fast you learn, what type of aircraft you will be flying during your training and whether or not you enroll in a ground school or go the home study route.

The regs require that you have at least 40 flight hours logged before you can take your check ride and, if memory serves you need to be 17 years old to get your license.
