How do I restore the Deck of my 16 ft flatbed utility trailer?

I have a 16 ft flatbed utility trailer that needs a new deck from the frame up. its 76" wide, 190" long and has side rails that are 8" high. Husband wants to use 2X6 boards for it, wondering if anyone has any ideas for a good restore or whatnot? any sites that might have some info?

2x6's are usable. The wider your board, the more strength is will have, but if it breaks, it takes a lot more of a toll than would a narrower board, since you would have more deck left. 2x6 - 2x10 are good for a car hauling trailer.

How much does insurance cost on a 4 X 7 utility trailer?

I'm going to be getting a small 4 X 7 foot utility trailer and just was wondering if anyone knew what the ballpark cost would be to get basic insurance. It's only $600 new and i'd be using it for basic personal type things...nothing major. Any ideas? I live in Virginia.

Here in New York, my auto policy furnishes liability coverage for any licensed trailer I may be towing. I also pay an extra $33 per year for coverage of any damage to my pop-up camper, approximate value $1,400.

The answer to your question should be "Not much". $50/year would sound very high to me.
