Your Laptop Mount
a good pc game that could run on a very bad and slow laptop running vista that has a medieval theme?
i want a game where your a knight/hero or some other medieval character and can fight clollect weapons and armour and do things like that. Mainly fighting though. Like an action or an rpg game.
Ive tried elder scrolls and mount and blade and theif and two worlds and rise of the argonaughts i know there will be lots of answers possible but please say the ones you recomend!
Also i dont want a stratergy game!
Though i dont mind sratergy if you can also play as one character. Please do say any ive listed above!

97 degrees celsius and climbing. will my computer die?
I have an hp tx2500z touchscreen laptop, and I recently found how to find the temperature of the CPU. The highest that Ive seen it get was 97 degrees, and as that is three away from boiling point, I am sure that it can't be good. I've tried multiple laptop fans, along with sticking it on an air hockey table, and mounting it to my air conditioner. the fans and the air hockey table only brought it down by an average of 5 degrees. the air conditioner is rather bulky and cannot be installed in my office, so I am out of luck there too.

in response to one of the questions asked, I cannot have my hand on the area around the cooling fan (built into the laptop) for more than a few seconds as it becomes very painful to do so
I have the same computer, and heat is probably the biggest problem.
The Turion X2 Ultra processors are known to run on the hot side. However, although it is designed to operate at 90+ degrees, 97 seems very borderline to me. I would try and reduce it if possible. Even if the CPU can run at those temperatures, the motherboard or nearby components may eventually suffer heat damage.
The easiest way to reduce these temperatures is to limit CPU activity. You can do this by modifying your "Power Options" in the control panel. Once in the advanced options, go to the "Maximum Processor State" option and set it to 50%.
Although the computer will a bit run slower, it will not affect normal usage much. Applications might take an extra second or two to load. However, heat will be SIGNIFICANTLY reduced.
If you set it at 25%, you will hardly ever even hear the fan. However, it will be significantly slower than normal. I use this setting mainly for taking notes in class, when noise is the primary concern so as to not disturb other people. Now, the only time I use 100% power is during occasional gaming.
There are also a few other settings that you can modify, but they are aimed slightly more at power users:
1) Go to the BIOS, and make sure the fan is set to "always on". Although this sounds like it might be louder, it prevents the fan from switching from off to fast mode, and instead usually keeps it at an quiet slow mode.
2) Undervolt the processor to reduce excess heat. I won't go into much detail about this, but you can do this with a program called pumastatectrl. If you dont have much experience with this, I would be extremely cautious as it could potentially damage your computer.
